(AMELIASBURG, ON) – On December 21, 2014 at approximately 4:05pm, officers of the Prince Edward County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call at Roblin Lake, Ameliasburg.
A 46-year-old Ameliasburg man fell through the ice on Roblin Lake while skating with a family member. The man died at hospital. The family member was safely rescued from the water.
The OPP want to remind everyone to use extreme caution around lakes and rivers. Treat all ice as unsafe unless you have proven otherwise.
