Dumpster Fires

(PETROLIA, ON) Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate recent multiple arsons in the Petrolia area. On December 26, 2014 at approximately 11:16 p.m., Lambton OPP officers were requested by the Petrolia Fire Service, to attend three separate locations in reference to dumpster fires in downtown Petrolia.

All three fires were behind local businesses located at 4141 Petrolia Line, 413 Albany Street, and 4177 Petrolia Line. Dumpsters and recycling bins were the targets of the arsonist(s). Lambton OPP wishes to remind members of the public to please contact the police if at any time they see suspicious activity or what appears to be suspicious activity.

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information related to this incident is asked to please contact the Lambton County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
