(North Glengarry) – Following an ongoing investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision which occurred on September 18, 2014 at approximately 9:40am at the intersection of County Road 20 and the Highland Road eastbound off-ramp interchange of Highway 417, North Glengarry Township, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a female driver of a vehicle involved.
A 2003 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by Sylvain COULOMBE (38) of St-Eugene-Guigues, Quebec was southbound on County Road 20 on the overpass when it collided with a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Claire LECUYER (77) from Gatineau, Quebec. The Cavalier was entering County Road 20 from the eastbound off-ramp of Highway 417. COULOMBE sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
LECUYER is charged with;
– Careless Driving (Highway Traffic Act)
She was summonsed to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 31, 2015.
