(Ottawa, ON) – On March 10, 2015, an officer from Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on a commercial motor vehicle on highway 417 eastbound by the Maitland overpass during the morning rush hour. The male driver was found to have consumed marihuana while operating the commercial motor vehicle. As a result of the investigation, the officer located a quantity of marihuana.
The male driver, 59 year old Randy Godfrey of Ottawa, is charged with:
Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Ottawa on April 1, 2015.
