Ivan SHARP Arrested For Salvation Army Kettle Thefts

(Town of New Tecumseth, ON)- On Saturday, December 20th, 2014, Officers of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a theft complaint from two separate business locations in Alliston regarding Salvation Army donation kettles.

A male person dressed in replica Salvation Army uniform including a peak cap, was observed removing donation kettles, and replacing with an empty donation kettle. After emptying the removed kettle, he moved on to a second location and repeated the action. Nottawasaga OPP conducted an investigation into the theft and have concluded their investigation.

On March 18, 2015, Officers from the Nottawasaga OPP arrested and charged 55 year old Ivan SHARP of Innisfil, Ontario, he has been charged with two counts of Theft Under $5000 and was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie today.
