(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On March 21, 2015 an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Wellington Street near William Street for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) violation.
The officer determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol and subsequently administered a road side test which the driver failed. As a result of the investigation the driver was arrested and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
William STEEVES, 53 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with driving with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood, contrary to the Criminal Code and with driving with improper headlights, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on April 16, 2015.
