(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On March 21, 2015, at approximately 1:56 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a R.I.D.E. Program on Highway 6 and College Avenue, Guelph.
While speaking with a female driver of a 2013 Buick, police observed signs that alcohol was consumed. A Roadside Screening Device test was performed which resulted in a fail. She was arrested and transported to a local OPP Operations Centre for further testing.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days as per statute.
Ann Marie MATTHEWS age 54 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 mgs contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on April 17, 2015 to answer to the charge.
