(South Glengarry) – On March 25, 2015 Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a request for assistance by Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) members at a commercial location on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that a check of a commercial vehicle by an MTO officer resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana from within the vehicle.
The male driver, Albert HARRIS (57) of Courtice, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Possession of a Controlled Substance – Under 30 Grams
He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on May 13, 2015.
BREAK-IN/THEFT
(South Glengarry) – On March 21, 2015 at approximately 8:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a break-in to a business on County Road 2 (South Lancaster), South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that overnight (March 20-21, 2015), culprit(s) forcibly entered the premise and removed an undisclosed amount of cash.
An investigation continues.
