Gas Card Theft Leads To Arrest

(CALEDON, ON) – On January 9th, 2015, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the overnight theft of gas cards from unlocked work vehicles in a Village of Bolton transport company compound. Information received that the gas cards had been used in the Milton area and a positive identification was made. Officers from the Street Crime Unit began an investigation which resulted in the arrest of a male.

Balwant VIRK, 38, from Brampton was arrested and charged with Fraud Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Milton on May 11th, 2015.
