(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment were contacted by an alert resident after noticing a suspicious person at a Norfolk County Road 19, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Thursday, March 27, 2015 at approximately 12:01 p.m., an alert homeowner was inside their residence when they observed a suspicious male approach their property and enter the back deck located at the rear of the home.
The male then attempted to open a rear sliding door however realized that the homeowner was inside the residence and immediately fled from the property to a vehicle waiting on the roadway. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed eastbound towards County Line.
The suspect is described as a native male, approximately 5’8, eye glasses, wearing a brown coloured jacket and brown toque.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer black coloured hatchback.
The OPP want to remind all Norfolk County residents that if they observed anyone suspicious in or around their property or your neighbour’s property to contact the police immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
