(RUSSELL COUNTY, ON) In the week of March 23, 2015 to March 30, 2015, Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 208 occurrences. Among those occurrences OPP responded to 16 collisions, 5 thefts and 5 domestics.
As a result of those occurrences, 28 people were charged with various offences.
Domestic
(Rockland, ON) On March 26, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a domestic related incident on St-Jacques Street in Rockland. At that location a female reported that her ex-partner was contacting her while knowing he was not supposed to be in contact with her. While investigating this complaint the officers were informed of previous incidents involving the couple.
A 30 year old male, from Rockland will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 8, 2015 to answer to the following charges:
CC 271 Sexual Assault
CC 264(1) Criminal Harassment – repeatedly follow, repeatedly communicate with, watch and beset, threatening conduct
CC 349(1) Unlawfully in Dwelling House
Suspicious Packages
(Embrun, ON) On March 25, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a suspicious package incident on Blais Street in Embrun. The packages that were deemed not to be a public safety issue were seized by the OPP. The packages were possibly mistakenly left on the bus shelter bench on that day. If anyone has any interest in those packages and can prove ownership please contact the Russell County OPP at 613-443-4499.
Bail Violation
(Hammond, ON) On March 26, 2015 OPP Constables attended a residence on Gagne Road in Hammond. At that location officers were verifying that a young person was at his residence as indicated in his release conditions. The young person refused to talk to officers and his mother refused to cooperate with officers.
A young male will have to appear in L’Orignal Youth court on April 15, 2015 to answer to the following charges:
YCJA 137 Failure to comply with disposition X3
A 57 year old female, from Hammond will have to appear in L’Orignal court on April 15, 2015, to answer to the following charge:
YCJA 136(1)(d) Induce or Assist a Young Person to Breach or Disobey
