Tyrone STRANG – Drunk Driving

(RED LAKE, ON) – On March 28, 2015 at approximately 5:38 pm, Red Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were on patrol on Nungessor Road, north of the Municipality of Red Lake.

The OPP officers observed a motor vehicle driving in a dangerous manner. Police stopped the motor vehicle and determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Red Lake OPP Detachment for testing.

Tyrone STRANG, age 25, of Pikangikum First Nations, has been charged with:

Drive while Impaired contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Drive Over 80 Milligrams contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Drive with seat belt assembly removed contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Drive motor vehicle with no licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Fail to have insurance card contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

Drive motor vehicle with no plates contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

STRANG is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake on May 28, 2015, to answer to the charges.
