Michael ANDREW – Drunk Driving

(IGNACE, ON) – On Thursday April 2, 2015 at approximately 12:10 a.m. members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Ignace Detachment stopped a motor vehicle for stunt driving – travelling 50 km/hr above the posted speed limit on Highway 17, Burk Township. The driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

As a result of the stop, Michael ANDREW (30 years old) of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been charged with Driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood contrary to Section 253(1) (b) of the Criminal Code and Racing a motor vehicle contrary to Section 172 (1) of the Highway Traffic Act.

ANDREW’s vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days. He will appear in court on July 29, 2015 to answer to the charges.
