(Prince Edward County, ON) — On the 21st of March at 7:20 pm officers from Prince Edward County received a call about youths shooting at ducks in the pond at the Glenwood Cemetery. The youths were not located. It was later discovered that a female goose was killed (presumably with a pellet gun) and removed from the pond. The goose was one of a pair of mates that had been at that location for the last 15 years and considered pets. The geese were donated as a gift and were unable to fly as their wings were clipped. Community members became quite attached to the pair and volunteers would feed them daily. Police are actively investigating this matter.
