(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On April 11, 2015 at approximately 9:33 a.m., members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) were conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Wellington Road 35 at Concession 4 in Puslinch Township.
Officers investigated the driver of a 2010 Ford pick-up truck that entered into the checkpoint. Upon approaching the vehicle police immediately detected the odour of fresh marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver surrendered a substantial quantity of suspected bud marihuana to police.
Wallace JARDINE age 56 of Kitchener has been charged with Possession of a Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on May 12, 2015 to answer to the charge.
