(LAKE OF BAYS, ON) On Thursday April 16, 2015 at about 2:00pm member of the Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) had taken a complaint about a Dodge Ram pickup truck leaving a parking lot in Dwight Ontario, spinning its wheels and fishtailing out of the lot.
Officers attended the area of Highway #60 and located the vehicle. As a result of the investigation Walter WENSLEY (53yrs) of Lake of Bays Township was arrested and eventually charged with Care and Control Over 80mgs of alcohol per 100mltrs of blood. The accused will in the Ontario Court of Justice, Huntsville on May 13, 2015 to answer to his charges. He also received a 90 day driver’s licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
On Saturday April 18, 2015 just after 6:00pm Huntsville OPP stopped a Ford Focus after registering speeds of 160kms an hour in a100kms hour zone. The driver was found to have been drinking. As a result of the traffic stop Matthew KNIGHT (29yrs) of Bracebridge Ontario was arrested and eventually charged with having more than 80mgs of alcohol per 100mltrs of blood. The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on May 13, 2015 to answer to his charges including the speed related charges and driving while under suspension. He also had his vehicle impounded for 7 days.
