(LONDON, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit have been involved in a multi-jurisdictional investigation involving numerous break, enter and thefts to area pharmacies. The OPP, with assistance from Waterloo Regional Police, London Police, St. Thomas Police and Sarnia Police investigators have arrested a London City man.
Police have been investigating a rash of break, enter and thefts from pharmacies in Grand Bend, Bayfield, North Perth Township, Ailsa Craig as well as Forest, Ontario that occurred between late August to November of 2014. In each instance quantities of drugs were stolen and used for the purpose of trafficking.
Police have charged 34-year-old William Christopher KECHEGO from Adelaide Street in London Ontario with;
· 2 x Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking
· 1 x Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana Over 30g.
· 6 x Break, Enter and Theft
· 4 x Wearing a Disguise in the Commission of an Indictable Offence
· 3 x Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance
· 3 x Trafficking in Stolen Goods Over $5,000
· 1 x Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
· 1 x Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
The accused is presently in custody on other charges in Waterloo, Ontario where he will answer to these additional charges now before the courts.
Also charged is:
22 year old Kateland WATSON of no fixed address
· 2 x Break and Enter,
· 1 x Wear Disguise
And
31 year old Robert Matthew ROTH of Middlesex County, ON
· 3 x Break, Enter and Theft
· 3 x Wear a Disguise
· 3 x Fail to Stop for Police.
They will appear in Provincial Court, London, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
