(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On April 29, 2105 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 35 near Waite Road and subsequently stopped the vehicle. Further investigation revealed the presence of marihuana in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Amanda FARRISH, 22 years of age, of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township was charged with speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and with possession of marihuana, under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on June 4, 2015.
