(NAPANEE, ON)- Detectives with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 38 year-old Stone Mills Township man following a fraud investigation.
In the fall of 2014 police were contacted with regard to a company known as “The Wagar Financial Group”. The complainant, an investor, had taken a substantial amount of money to the accused, Kevin WAGAR, to be invested.
The investor contacted police after not being reimbursed for his investment.
As a result of the investigation Kevin WAGAR has been charged with Fraud over $5,000 contrary to section 380(1) of the Criminal Code. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on June 2, 2015.
