Large Seizure of Crystal Methamphetamine

(Napanee, ON) – On Monday, May 11th, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau-Drug Enforcement Unit (OCEB-DEU), assisted by the Port Hope Police Service, seized a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine from two men following a lengthy investigation into the trafficking of the drug.

Police arrested the men at 10:20 p.m. in a car pool lot on Toronto Road in the Town of Port Hope.

As a result of the arrest and search police seized 523 grams of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $52,300 and over $10,000 in Canadian currency. Also seized as proceeds of crime were two vehicles, a 1992 Ford Mustang blue and a 2007 Dodge Calibre silver.

Charged with Trafficking a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking X 2, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 is 24 year-old Kristopher JEROME of Napanee and 38 year-old Van Phuc LUU of Toronto.

As a result of the investigation a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act was executed by members of the OPP OCEB-DEU at a residence on Ann Street in Napanee on May 12th, 2015 at 1:51 a.m.

Police seized 26 grams of crystal methamphetamine, steroids, and over $10,000 in Canadian currency from the residence.

Also charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Fail to Comply with Probation is 26 year-old Stephanie JEROME of Napanee.
