(Bancroft, Ontario) – Officers with the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating an incident involving violence that occurred in the town of Bancroft.
Investigation has revealed that during the late evening hours on the 13th of May 2015, two unknown suspects entered into an apartment in downtown Bancroft, where two females and a male were residing. Once inside the residence, the suspects began assaulting the male resident. Following a short struggle between the parties, the two suspects departed the apartment on their own. The victim suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention, and nothing was reported as stolen.
The suspects in the incident are both described as male. One had his face concealed, and the second suspect is described as being between forty to fifty years in age. One of the suspects was wearing a blue plaid jacket.
Investigation by the Bancroft Ontario Provincial Police crime unit is ongoing.
