(Douro-Dummer Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on scene of a collision on Nassau Mills Road (Peterborough County Road 32) just south of Lakefield.
A northbound sport utility vehicle (SUV) hit a northbound cyclist from behind just after 12:00pm today. The cyclist was wearing a helmet, but suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash. The male rider was flown to a Toronto area hospital by Ornge Air Ambulance with serious injuries.
Peterborough County Road 32 remains closed between Peterborough County Road 33 and Centre Road while officers continue to investigate.
