(TECUMSEH, ON) –The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Lakeshore and Tecumseh received a report of a possible impaired driver on May 25, 2015 at approximately 10:40 p.m.
Officers attended the area of Essex County Road 22 and Manning Road in Tecumseh where the suspect vehicle failed to stop for police, disobeyed traffic signals and drove erratically.
The vehicle and lone male occupant of the vehicle was eventually stopped in the 500 block of Essex County Road 42. He exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene. Officers located a quantity of marihuana on the male when he was searched.
Alan URUSKI, age 52, of Lakeshore was charged with the following offences:
Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer
Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle
Fail or Refuse to Provide Breath Sample
Possession of a Schedule II Substance
He will appear in a Windsor court on June 25, 2015 to answer to the charges.
