(Nipigon, ON.) – On 29 May 2015 a male drove to the Nipigon OPP detachment for an administrative matter. While speaking to police an odor of alcohol was detected on his breath. A roadside test was administered; subsequently the 48 year old male from Nipigon, ON was issued a 3 day driver’s license suspension.
Section 48 of the Highway Traffic Act provides police in Ontario the authority to suspend the licence of any driver found operating a motor vehicle with a Blood Alcohol level reading between 50 and 100mgs.
•First Time – 3 day suspension
•Second Time- 7 day suspension
•Third Time – 30 day suspension
