OPP can now identify the deceased male as 62 year-old Stephen John MAITLAND of London, Ontario.
OPP INVESTIGATE SUDDEN DEATH
(TAY TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Simcoe County Paramedic Services were dispatched at 1:43 p.m. June 12, 2015 to the truck stop on 21 Quarry Road in Waubaushene after a male was located deceased.
A male (age 63) was found underneath a pick-up truck in the parking lot. The identity of the male cannot be released until next of kin notification has been made. OPP Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
The area coroner did attend the scene and the cause of death is not deemed to be suspicious in nature. A post mortem will be conducted at a future date in Barrie.
