(RUSSELL COUNTY, ON) In the week of June 15, 2015 to June 22, 2015, Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 243 occurrences. Among those occurrences OPP responded to 17 collisions, 3 thefts, 8 domestics and one impaired driver.
As a result of those occurrences, 48 people were charged with various offences.
Assault
(Casselman, ON) On June 19, 2015 OPP Constables responded to domestic related incident on Principale Street in Casselman. At that location three adults were involved in an argument. At one point a female was assaulted by a male. Police investigated the matter and concluded that an offence had been committed.
A 33 year old male, from Casselman will have to appear in L’Orignal court on July 8, 2015 to answer to the following charge:

Impaired Driver
(St-Albert, ON) On June 20, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Route 900 East in St-Albert. The officers attended location and found a vehicle in the ditch. They spoke to the driver and noticed sings of impairment by alcohol. The male was arrested and taken to the OPP detachment. At that location he supplied breath samples into the Intoxylizer. The test results exceeded the legal limit.
Christopher BEACOM, 19 years old from North Stormont Township will have to appear in L’Orignal court on July 22, 2015 to answer to the following charges:
CC 253(1)(a) Driving While Ability Impaired – motor vehicle (Alcohol and Drug)
CC 253(1)(b) Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood
CDSA 4(1) Poss of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis Marihuana – under 30grams
The driver was also issued provincial offence notices for the following infractions:
HTA 44.1(3) Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero
HTA 44.1(5) Young driver – B.A.C. above zero
Mischief
(Embrun, ON) On June 20, 2015 OPP Constable Cynthia Savard was on patrol on Canaan Road in Rockland when she was flagged down by a motorist. She was advised by the driver of the vehicle that a male had thrown a rock through his windshield. The officer investigated the complaint and concluded that an offence had been committed.
Pierre BISSONNETTE, 51 years old from Rockland will have to appear in L’Orignal court on July 22, 2015 to answer to the following charge:
CC 430(4) Mischief Under $ 5,000
Break and Enter
(Embrun, ON) On June 17, 2015 OPP Constables responded to a break and enter incident at the Embrun Centre–Aide on New York Central Avenue. At that location sometime during the night a suspect forced his way into the premises and stole items inside the store.
