(CALEDON, ON) – On June 22nd, 2015 at 1:27pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 9 at Highway 10. The officers located the female driver on Highway 10 and Old Baseline Road travelling at 195 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone.
As a result of the traffic complaint, Jennifer Hart, 27, from Caledon was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Stunt Driving and several other Highway Traffic Act of Ontario charges.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days and her driver’s licence was suspended for seven days.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon at a later date.
Police remind motorists that an essential part of the enforcement job is to save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways. Educating the public about safe driving practices is a priority.
