(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment has charged an 18 year old male after investigating an incident at a Walker Street, Port Dover, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at approximately 1:22 p.m., police were called to Dave’s World after receiving a complaint about a shoplifter.
Through the course of investigation it was determined that merchandise was removed from the store by an unknown male. The male was confronted and fled from the area with store employees following. Police attended the area and with the assistance of Canine Services were able to locate the male and take him into custody without further incident.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 18-year-old Jerald Wilbur Lloyd KING of Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation, Ontario with theft under $5,000 dollars.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
