(Enniskillen, ON) – On Saturday, June 27, 2015 members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the area of Petrolia Line, Enniskillen Township Ontario to investigate an erratic driver.
The OPP observed a motor vehicle on Petrolia Line approaching the Town of Petrolia being operated in an “abnormal” manner. Subsequently, the OPP commenced an investigation. As a result of this investigation, Michael R. PARTRIDGE, 47 years of age of Sarnia Ontario was arrested and charged with allegedly Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by Alcohol and Driving a Motor Vehicle while having over 80 mgs of Alcohol per 100 mls of Blood.
He provided breath samples in excess of 3 times the legal limit! He is to appear at the Sarnia Court House on the 20 July 2015 in order to answer to the allegations.
Again, the OPP will not tolerate Impaired Driving by the consumption of alcohol or drugs to occur within the communities in which they police. A few of the OPP’s main goals are community safety and professional accountability. If you are operating any type of motor vehicle be it on public or private property you will be arrested, charged and prosecuted.
The OPP rely on the public to report crime and impaired driving is a crime that should be treated no differently. If you suspect that someone is driving or about to drive impaired, call 9-1-1 and report it. If you see that someone is impaired by alcohol or other drugs and intends on driving, strongly discourage them from driving and call 9-1-1 if they insist.
