Three Impaired Drivers Arrested – MARION, YOUMANS & TOP

(COLBORNE, ON) – On July 5, 2015 officers from Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE program on Big Apple Drive (12:58am) and stopped a grey Ford Escape to determine the sobriety of the driver. The driver was found to have consumed alcohol, was arrested and taken to the Cobourg detachment for further tests. As a result of these tests, Pamela MARION age 51 of Brampton is charged with Drive motor vehicle while her blood alcohol content exceeded 80mg in 100ml of blood. MARION was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on September 2, 2015.

(COLBORNE, ON) – On July 5, 2015 a Northumberland OPP officer was on general patrol on Percy Street (1:56am) and observed a white Lincoln Navigator having difficulty maintaining its lane. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to have consumed alcohol. He was arrested and taken to the Cobourg detachment for further tests. As a result of these tests, Alexander YOUMANS age 30 of Belleville is charged with Care & Control of a motor vehicle while his blood alcohol content exceeded 80mg in 100ml of blood, Impaired Care & Control of a motor vehicle, Driving while under suspension and other offences under the Highway Traffic Act as well as the Liquor Licence Act. YOUMANS was held for a bail hearing scheduled for July 6, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.

(BRIGHTON, ON) – On July 5, 2015 a Northumberland OPP officer was on general patrol on Goodrich Road (2:18am) when his attention was drawn to a black GMC Sierra pickup truck. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to have consumed alcohol. He was arrested and taken to the Campbellford detachment for further tests. As a result of these tests, Matthew TOP age 23 of Brighton is charged with Care & Control of a motor vehicle while his blood alcohol content exceeded 80mg in 100ml of blood and Impaired Care & Control of a motor vehicle. TOP was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on July 29, 2015.
