(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Thursday, July 16, 2015 at approximately 12:29 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision on the East Back Line near Road 120 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
Investigation revealed that a 2011 GMC Sierra pick-up truck left the roadway and struck a hydro pole causing extensive damage to property. The East Back Line was closed for safety reasons until such time has Hydro One could repair the damage to the pole and the wires.
Police found that the lone driver had been drinking alcohol. She was taken to hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
33-year old Andrea LYSENKO, of the Township of Southgate, has been charged with impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in her system.
She is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, August 6, 2015.
