(Cavan-Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a farm on Highway 7a with emergency crews yesterday just before 3:00pm for an industrial farming accident.
A female had been working alone in a barn when a loud explosion was heard by family members. The 26 year old female victim was located in the barn with serious injuries near a ruptured air compressor. The victim was transported to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries by Ornge air ambulance. The Ministry of Labour attended the scene and has taken over the investigation.
