Marie BAKKER – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 50 year old female after alert citizens contacted police about a vehicle at an Aberdeen Street, Caledonia, Haldmand County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at approximately 7:09 a.m., police were contacted by concerned citizens about a motor vehicle travelling north bound on Aberdeen Street. Officers attended the area and located the vehicle and driver.

As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 50-year-old Marie BAKKER of Haldimand County, Ontario with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit.

She is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.

“There will be zero tolerance for motorists driving aggressively, impaired by drugs or alcohol, distracted drivers or those who fail to buckle up. Driving safety is everyone’s responsibility and it starts before the vehicle is put into drive” comments Inspector Phil Carter, Haldimand County OPP Detachment Commander.
