(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial (OPP) Crime Unit is currently investigating an armed robbery that took place last night, Friday August 7, 2015 at 9:03 p.m.
The robbery occurred at a business on Western Avenue in the City of Orillia.
The business was open at the time. The clerk was approached by a male suspect brandishing a firearm.
The suspect is described as a white male, wearing blue jeans and a dark coloured sweater. His face was covered.
The suspect left the store in a dark coloured van or SUV type vehicle. The vehicle left heading north on West Street from Western Avenue.
The clerk was not injured.
