(WEST NIPISSING, ON) – On August 22, 2015, at approximately 7:30 p.m., members of the North Bay and Warren Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a collision involving a West Nipissing Police Service boat and a civilian pleasure boat on the Sturgeon River.
Two of the four people in the pleasure boat and both officers sustained minor injuries and were met on shore by the District of West Nipissing Emergency Medical Services.
Both boats sustained major damage and had to be towed to shore.
The collision is still under investigation.
