Hit And Run Driver Charged – Andrew BULL

(HALIBURTON, ON) – On Sunday Sept. 13, 2015 at approximately 2:38 am officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP were called to an incident on Bobcaygeon Road near Deep Bay Road in the Village of Minden. Haliburton County EMS and the Minden Hills Fire Department were also in attendance.

A seriously injured male had been found unconscious lying on the side of the road by two people passing through the area. It appeared the male had been struck by an unknown vehicle. The male was transported to a local hospital and later transferred by air ambulance to a Toronto area Trauma Centre where he remains in critical condition.

Technical Traffic Collision investigators from the OPP attended to assist with the investigation. Officers at the scene were able to retrieve debris that is believed came from the suspect vehicle.

The male driver turned himself into the Haliburton Highlands OPP several hours later on September 13, 2015.

As a result of the investigation Andrew BULL, 28 years old, from Minden, ON has been charged with Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident involving Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear the Ontario Court of Justice in Minden, Ontario on November 4, 2015.
