DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(South Dundas) – On September 15, 2015 at approximately 7:51am, Stormont, Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on First Street, South Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that a male had been continually contacting his ex-spouse. Further information was received that the male had also assaulted the female on a previous date.
The 36-year-old male from South Dundas Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault
– Criminal Harassment
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 27, 2015. The name of the accused is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
BREACH OF CONDITIONS
(South Glengarry) – On September 16, 2015 at approximately 11:00 am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Lefebvre Road, South Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated a male youth was in contravention of previous release conditions.
The 17-year-old male from South Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order YCJA (1 count)
– Fail to Comply with Recognizance YCJA (2 Count)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
IMPAIRED DRIVER
(South Glengarry) – On September 16, 2015 at approximately 11:40pm, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a Traffic complaint on County Road 2, South Glengarry Township. Officers intercepted the vehicle and the investigation revealed that the adult male driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Henry WILLIAMS (82) of Mississauga, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in blood
– Driving a Motor Vehicle while Impaired
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 6, 2015.
DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(North Glengarry) – On September 17, 2015 at approximately 1:03am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a residence on Main Street in North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between an adult male and his girlfriend resulted in the male causing damage to the household.
An adult male (28) from North Glengarry, Ontario was arrested and is charged with;
– Mischief Under $5,000
The Male was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on October 13, 2015.
The names of the accused persons are being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
EXCESSIVE SPEEDS
(South Stormont) – On September 16, 2015, SD&G OPP officer conducted speed measuring enforcement on Highway 401, South Stormont Townships and intercepted the following vehicle for traveling at excessive speeds. The vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permits seized for seven (7) days in accordance to policy.
– September 16, 2015 – 2:13pm (South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 164km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (53) from Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario was charged accordingly
