(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On Saturday, October 10th, 2015, at approximately 11:00 am, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were called to the scene of a crash involving a motorcycle and a school bus. The crash occurred at the intersection of the 6th Line of New Tecumseth and 10th Sideroad, in the Town of New Tecumseth.
The motorcycle was travelling south on the 10th sideroad towards the 6th line. The school bus was travelling west on the 6th line and after stopping at the stop sign at 10th sideroad, moved into the intersection and at that point the motorcycle crested the hill and struck the bus.
Christopher Taylor, age 26, of Bradford was transported by Air Ambulance to a Toronto area hospital. The injured male, succumbed to his injuries at 11:15 pm, on October 11th, 2015.
OPP were assisted by two off duty firefighters, an off duty police officer and a medical doctor who all assisted with first aid at the scene.
