(ORILLIA, ON.)- The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a robbery at an Orillia jewellery store.
On October 9, 2015 at approximately 1:51p.m., the Orillia OPP responded to a hold up alarm at P D Murphy Jewellery on Mississaga Street East. On arrival officers were advised that a lone male had just fled the store with a quantity of rings. The suspect informed the employee that he had a gun in his backpack but it was not displayed. No one at the store was injured.
The Orillia OPP has charged a male in relation to the robbery.
Alan LEE, 50 years old of Barrie, has been charged with Robbery with a Weapon. He will be held in custody pending a Bail Hearing tomorrow in Barrie.
