(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 8, 2015 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a theft from the Walmart in Fergus. A man and a woman left the store without paying for a television. They were confronted by employees and fled the scene with the TV. Police were able to identify the suspects but were unable to locate them.
On October 11, 2015 a man attended a gas station in Fergus driving a stolen vehicle and did not pay for gas. He was identified by police but did not locate him.
On October 18, 2015 the accused again attended a gas station in Fergus in a stolen vehicle and did not pay for gas. The vehicle was spotted in Guelph by police a short time later and the driver would not stop for police. He was identified by police.
The investigation revealed that the man was on a Probation Order and not following conditions.
38-year-old Donald SNIDER of no fixed address is charged with;
· Theft Under $5000 X 3-Criminal Code (C.C.)
· Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 X 2-C.C.
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order X 6-C.C.
He was arrested on October 29, 2015 and will have a bail hearing on November 4, 2015.
