(HALIBURTON, ON) On Monday, the 16th day of November, 2015 at approximately 8:00 pm officers from the Haliburton Highlands OPP were conducting a RIDE check in the Village of Minden.
A lone male approached the officers in a white pickup truck. Upon speaking to the male an officer detected a strong smell of alcohol. The officer made the demand for a roadside test. The result of the test was a fail. The driver was arrested for over 80 and transported to the Haliburton Highlands OPP Detachment for Intoxilyzer tests. As a result of the tests the driver was charged with Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood contrary to S. 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
Charged is Kristopher WINDOVER, 39 of Minden Hills. He is to appear in court in Minden on January 6, 2016.
