Woman Returns From Walking Dog To Find Vehicle Set On Fire

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On November 24, 2015 at approximately 1:00 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Conservation Road at Guelph Lake Conservation Area in Guelph-Eramosa Township.

Investigation revealed that the complainant parked her vehicle on the south side of the road and took her dog for a 25 minute walk. When she returned to her 2004 Dodge Ram pick-up truck and opened the door to see smoke inside. On closer examination she discovered that the front driver’s seat and visor were melted and a strong odour of gas was emanating from within the vehicle.

The fire extinguished itself and the Guelph Fire Prevention officer attended the scene and determined it was suspicious.

Officers patrolled the area however, were unable to locate the suspects.
