(RENFREW, ON) Detectives in the Renfrew County Crime Unit investigated and charged a male after a female victim reported being sexually assaulted by her step father in the past. The investigation revealed the offences occurred between 1967 and 2007 and involved four female victims. A 67-year-old male from Griffith was arrested and charged with a total of 16 charges, 13 related to sexual offences, and three related to breaching his release conditions after the initial charges were laid. The male will not be identified in order to protect the identity of the victims. Detective Constable Lori Birmingham led the investigation.
