(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On December 8, 2015, just after 7:30 p.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota pickup truck for a traffic violation on Highway 401, near Duart Road.
During subsequent OPP traffic investigation, the driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a small quantity of suspected marihuana.
As a result, the driver, 42-year-old David DAVIS from Caledon, has been charged with Possession of Marihuana, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and Drive Motor Vehicle No Licence, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The driver is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on January 28, 2016, to answer to the charges.
