Adam MARCO – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On December 17, 2015 at approximately 1:31 a.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) was conducting R.I.D.E. spot checks on Highway 6 near College Avenue in the City of Guelph.

Officers spoke with the male driver of a 2006 Acura that entered into the spot check and believed he had consumed alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test was conducted which resulted in a fail. The driver was brought to an OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

The driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.

32-year-old Adam MARCO of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code and Drive While Under Suspension X 2 contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 15, 2016.
