(TOWNSHIP OF ADJALA-TOSORONTIO) – During the early morning hours of January 22, 2016, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Nottawasaga Detachment Drug Unit, assisted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, the Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), as well as the Central Region Canine Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on County Road 15 in the Town of New Tecumseth.
As a result of this search, OPP units seized a quantity of drugs, including Cocaine, Ecstasy pills, Cannabis Marihuana and Oxycontin. Total value of drugs seized is $60,000.00. Also seized was $10,000.00 in cash, $60,000.00 in stolen appliances which were taken from a Break and Enter in Alliston during the summer of 2015, and $500.00 worth of illegal tobacco. Three replica handguns were also located on the property.
Charged with numerous offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) as well as “Possession of Property Obtained by Crime”, are 36 year old male, Jimi CARRINE, and 26 year old female, Shelley McALLISTER, both from Adjala-Tosorontio Township.
