(Peterborough County, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a vehicle driving very erratically in the west end of the City of Peterborough this morning just before 1:00am.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle before it caused a collision. The driver failed to stop for the police lights and continued to a private driveway on Pinewood Drive. The driver was arrested for failing to stop for officers and was found to be impaired by a drug.
Michael WHITE (age 33) of Warkworth, ON was arrested and charged with:
Impaired Driving (drug)
Dangerous Driving
Driving while disqualified
Possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl)
Driving while suspended
Operate a vehicle with no insurance
Use plates not authorized for the vehicle
The accused has been held in custody pending a show cause hearing scheduled in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough, ON later today.
