(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County detachment has charged a 31-year-old male after investigating an incident at Queensway East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at approximately 3:06 p.m., police were called to the Real Canadian Superstore after receiving a complaint about a theft.
Through the course of investigation it was determined that an unknown male attended the store and removed items. The male was then observed entering a vehicle and leaving the property. Officers in the area located the vehicle however the vehicle failed to stop after police activated their emergency equipment.
The vehicle was later located by officers and the driver was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 31-year-old Christopher Neil SCHRAM of Norfolk County, Ontario with theft under $5,000 X2, flight while pursued by police, drive while disqualified X2, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and driving while under suspension.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
