(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On May 7, 2016, at 7:27p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an animal complaint at the Elliot Lake Secondary School track area in the City of Elliot Lake.
As a result of the investigation it was found that an unleased dog attacked another dog in the school track area.
A 13 year old female from Elliot Lake was issued an Elliot Lake by-law notice for the offence of: Dog Running at Large, contrary to section 12(15) of By-Law Number 10-60.
Police are asking dog owners to leash your pets when out in public and to also, familiarize yourselves with the City’s animal by-laws.
