Two Face Numerous Charges After Rampage

(INGERSOLL, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to a report of a stolen motor vehicle from the Ingersoll Lanes bowling alley located on Thames Street North in Ingersoll, at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday May 14, 2016.

Police attended and discovered the vehicle has been taken from the parking lot at approximately 4:15 p.m. The two suspects who had been at the bowling alley, left the business then stole the 2003 Ford Explorer and fled the area in the stolen vehicle.

A approximately 4:24 p.m., the suspects attended the Mac’s Milk gas bar located on Road 68 in Thamesford, and caused damage to a windshield washing fluid stand and one of the buildings rain downspouts while reversing in the parking lot. The male suspect was observed on the store video and identified by police.

At approximately 5:36 p.m., a traffic complaint was called into police reporting that the stolen vehicle was observed in the area of the Independent Grocer parking lot, and that the male driver appeared to be drinking and was weaving all over the road.

At approximately 6:19 p.m., a call was placed to police advising that the stolen vehicle has just struck a fence on the property located on Road 62 just outside of Ingersoll. The vehicle fled the area and did not stop.

At Approximately 6:44 p.m., police were advised that the stolen vehicle had returned to the Mac’s Milk gas bar and the suspects were now trying to obtain fuel. The suspects entered the store and were unable to pay for the gas so they left the area without paying for $40 worth of fuel. The female suspect had produced valid identification to the clerk and that information was relayed to police.

Police attended in Thamesford and began to canvass the area. At approximately 7:00 p.m., police located the stolen motor vehicle parked and un-occupied at the intersection of Finlayson Drive and Stanley Street in Thamesford. A passing motorist stopped to advise police of a suspicious male pacing back and forth on the sidewalk in the area, when the police showed up and discovered the stolen vehicle. The male’s last known location was given to police.

Police attended at the residence and spoke to the homeowner. The suspects were located in a parked trailer on the property. The two suspects were advised they were under arrest and became assaultive with police. Three officers were assaulted and one was treated at a local hospital as a precaution. The injuries were minor in nature.

Charged is Logan HOLDEN, 31-year-old male, of Ingersoll with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

Theft of Motor Vehicle

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

Mischief under $5,000 ( 2 counts)

Theft under $5,000

Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest

Also charged is Katie LONGLADE, 31-year-old female, of Ingersoll with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000

Theft under $5,000

Mischief under $5,000

Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest (2 counts)

The female was release on an Officer in Charge Undertaking and a Promise to Appear. The male was held for a bail hearing to answer to the charges.
